July 05, 2012 - Houston police are investigating at fatal traffic accident at 1600 Gessner about 8:50 p.m. on Tuesday (July 3).

The male victim, 14, was transported by Life Flight helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he later died.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Gonzales and Officer M. Hardt reported:

The victim was crossing the street, not using a crosswalk, when he was struck by a black Hyundai Tiburon.  The driver of the Hyundai stopped and rendered aid until emergency crews arrived.  

There are no charges in this incident.
