January 17, 2012 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 7900 Litlle York about 9 p.m. on Monday (Jan. 16).

The male victim, 30, suffered head trauma and was transported to Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant S. Sorge and Officer E. Morgado reported:

The victim was driving a Chevrolet Suburban northbound on North Wayside and made a left turn onto Little York at a high rate of speed.  The Suburban lost control on the wet street and then spun around.  The vehicle then slid off the road into a ditch on the north side of the roadway and flipped over onto the driver's side.  The driver was taken to the hospital where he died.
