January 4, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 4400 Ward about 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday (Jan. 3). 

The identity of the victim, 31, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Rodriguez and Officer M. Condon reported: 

The victim was driving in the 4400 block of Ward when a newer model silver Dodge Caliber pulled up next to him.  Someone from inside the Dodge then shot into the driver's side of the victim's vehicle.  The victim drove a short distance and then died. 

The suspect is described only as a black male.
