February 17, 2012 - Investigators in the Houston Police Department's Major Offenders Division have released a composite sketch of a police impersonation suspect wanted in an incident in the 22200 block of the Eastex Freeway (North U.S. Highway 59) about 2:30 p.m. on January 18.
The suspect is described only as a white male in his 30s, about 6 feet tall, weighing 250 to 275 pounds, with a muscular build and bleached blond hair. A composite sketch of the suspect is attached to this news release.
The female victim was driving home from work on the Eastex Freeway when she noticed a black Chevrolet Tahoe behind her with overhead red and blue lights, which she assumed was a police vehicle. A short time later, the suspect turned on his red and blue overhead lights and the victim pulled over to the side of the freeway at the above address. The victim stated that as the suspect approached, she lowered her window and the suspect began to curse at her. The victim then got out of her car and the suspect walked her to the front of her vehicle, where he told her he was going to search her car. The suspect searched her car and left her items on the ground. The suspect then told the victim he was going to give her a warning and got in his Tahoe and left, traveling northbound on the Eastex Freeway.
The suspect was wearing Aviator sunglasses and was dressed in all black clothing with BDU pants, but was not wearing a badge or a name plate. The suspect was also wearing a holstered pistol. The Chevrolet Tahoe is described as a newer model vehicle with red and blue overhead lights and red and blue lights in the grill. The vehicle had red and white lettering on the driver's side door.
