Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 2100 Hepburn
December 31, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a homeless man at 2100 Hepburn about 7:00 a.m. today.
The victim, 50-60 years old, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Chandler and Senior Police Officer R. Swainson reported:
A Texas Medical Center employee was walking to a nearby bus stop when she found the victim lying on the sidewalk. Police and EMS crews were then called to the scene.
There is no known motive in this shooting.
