Fatal Traffic Accident at 4700 Elysian
April 24, 2012 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 4700 Elysian about 6:45 a.m. today.
The male victim, 31, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identification is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Francois and Officer O. Lewis reported:
The driver of a white Ford F-250 pickup truck was northbound on Elysian when she entered the intersection at Cavalcade. She told investigators she had a green light when the victim, operating a black motorcycle, crossed in front of her, causing her to strike him. She then lost control of the pickup truck, left the road, and then struck a home. She and a female resident were both transported to Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation is continuing.
