Suspect Arrested, Charged in Shooting Incident at 9210 Madera
April 3, 2012 - Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in a shooting that left a young boy seriously wounded at 9210 Madera about 4:30 p.m. on Saturday (March 31).
Candale Dekota Hall (b/m, DOB: 5-15-87) is charged with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury in the 339th State District Court. A photo of Hall is attached to this news release.
Hall is accused of shooting a boy, 4, who suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he underwent surgery and remains hospitalized at this time.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant O. Chandler and Senior Police Officer J. Johnston reported:
On Saturday, Hall and his girlfriend got into an argument outside the residence at the above address, which also serves as a daycare. During the course of the argument, Hall produced a gun and fired it several times in the direction of his girlfriend. The woman was not injured, but several bullets entered the residence, one of them striking the child.
Today (April 3), Hall surrendered to local authorities without incident and was booked into the Houston Police Department jail.
