October 31, 2011 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 7900 Stone about 12:30 a.m. today.

The male victim, 17, of Houston, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Thomas and Officer T. Hines reported:

HFD personnel responded to a reported injured male at the Las Palmas Apartment complex at the above address. Upon arrival, they observed a green Hyundai Sonata with severe damage to the right side of the vehicle. The male victim was observed lying down in the back seat, in need of medical attention, and was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital.

Further investigation determined there were two other occupants in the Hyundai and the vehicle had collided with an unknown vehicle at an unknown location.

The investigation is continuing.
