November 9, 2011 - Charges have been filed against one suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 9350 Country Creek about 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 16.
The suspect, Martez Levy (b/m, DOB: 6-20-86), is charged with capital murder in the 232nd State District Court. He is accused in the death of Luis Vasquez, 24, of Houston. Mr. Vasquez suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sgt. J. Wilson and Officer D. Gunter reported:
Two females lured Mr. Vasquez and his friend to the back parking lot of the West Wood Garden Condominiums. Vasquez and his friend drove to the rear of the complex where Vasquez parked his car, as instructed by the females. Vasquez then got out of the car and began to walk toward a breezeway area when he was attacked by two black males. The suspects struck Vasquez several times in the back of the head with a blunt force object and then fatally shot him in the back of the head. Vasquez's friend managed to flee on foot and called 911.
Further investigation and witness statements identified Levy as a suspect in this case and on Tuesday (Nov. 8) he was arrested in the 9400 block of Cullen without incident. A second suspect, described only as a black male, 5 feet 7 inches tall and about 150 pounds, remains at large.
