Investigation into Female's Death at 2900 Sage

September 13, 2010 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a woman found at 2900 Sage #904 about 2:20 a.m. on Sunday (Sept. 12).

The victim, Vanessa Tappe, 33, of Houston, was pronounced dead at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital.  Her cause of death is pending an autopsy by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Evans and Officer P. Vela reported:

Ms. Tappe and her boyfriend checked into a hotel room at the above address and went to sleep.  The boyfriend later woke and found Tappe's lips discolored and her unresponsive.  The victim's boyfriend called 9-1-1 and attempted to resuscitate her.  Paramedics arrived and transported her to the hospital.  

The investigation is continuing.
