Investigation into Infant's Death at 226 Hoffman

November 3, 2010 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a baby girl at 226 Hoffman about 4 a.m. today (Nov. 3).

The victim, 2 months old, was transported to Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital where she was pronounced dead.  Her identity and cause of death are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant O. Chandler and Officer R. Figueroa reported: 

The baby was found unresponsive by her mother at the above listed location.  HFD emergency personnel responded to the scene, attempted CPR and then took the baby to the hospital.  At this time, it does not appear the child suffered any injuries or trauma to the body. 

The investigation is continuing.
