Fatal Shooting at 1950 Spenwick May 13, 2010 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 1950 Spenwick about 11:40 p.m. on Tuesday (May 11). The victim, Juan Jose Sanchez, 19, of Houston, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. E. Roberts and Senior Police Officer R. A. Moreno reported: Mr. Sanchez and his friend were driving in a blue Mercury Marquis on Spenwick and got into a traffic altercation with five unknown male suspects, who were traveling slowly in a small gray vehicle. As Sanchez and his friend tried to drive around the males’ vehicle, the suspects made hand gestures and an argument ensued. Sanchez and his friend drove to an apartment complex at 1950 Spenwick and entered the driveway. One of the suspects in the gray vehicle then shot Sanchez and fled the scene. Sanchez’s friend then attempted to take him to the hospital but Sanchez died while on the way. The suspects are described only as five Hispanic males, between 16 and 24 years of age.
