Male Sought in Fatal Stabbing at 6611 Trigate Drive
May 10, 2010 - Houston police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a person of interest wanted for questioning in the fatal stabbing of a man at 6611 Trigate Drive about 12:15 a.m. on Saturday (May 8).
The person of interest, Gary Bernard Allen, is described as a black male in his early 40s, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 180 pounds. Investigators believe he still may be in the Houston area. A photo of Gary Allen, who has not been charged in this incident at this time, is attached to this news release.
The victim, Shafin Okieth Lark, 27, suffered multiple stab wounds and facial trauma and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Padilla and B. Evans reported:
Patrol officers responded to an assault in-progress call at the above address and found HFD emergency personnel attending to Mr. Lark. Further investigation determined Allen and his girlfriend were visiting her relative at 6611 Trigate. During the visit, Allen and Lark, who was a resident of that house, got into an argument. At some point during the argument, Lark was stabbed and Allen and his girlfriend fled the scene.
