Suspect Charged in Fatal Shooting at 2020 Leeland May 6, 2010 - Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a juvenile male and wounding of a man at 2020 Leeland about 12:45 a.m. on Saturday (May 1). The suspect, Brian Chidozie Ezike (b/m, DOB: 9-16-91), is charged with murder in the 182nd State District Court. Ezike, who is also known as “Etray, E-Tray or Etrey,” is considered armed and dangerous. A photo of suspect Ezike is attached to this news release. The victim, Jaylon Calloway, 14, of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. A second male, 18, was shot in the thigh and treated and released from an area hospital HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers T. Miller and S. Anderson reported: Two groups of individuals got into a verbal altercation during a party at a nightclub involving teenagers. The argument turned into a fistfight and then escalated into gunfire when a number of people pulled out guns and started shooting. Calloway was fatally struck and another male was wounded. Information obtained through a Crime Stoppers tip identified Brian Ezike as a suspect in this case and he is currently at large.
