Suspects Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 6000 South Lake Houston Parkway June 11, 2010 - Charges have been filed against two suspects arrested in the fatal shooting of a male at 6000 South Lake Houston Parkway about 9:30 p.m. on May 15. Suspect Luis Andres De La Cruz (H/m, DOB: 10-26-92) is charged with murder in the 182nd State District Court. A second male suspect, 16, will be referred to Harris County juvenile probation authorities on a charge of murder. The victim, Walter Hernandez, 19, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Meeler, Senior Police Officer J. Selvera and Officer W. Ferguson reported: A passerby riding a bicycle found Mr. Hernandez deceased near 6000 South Lake Houston Parkway. Further investigation led to the identification of De La Cruz and the juvenile as suspects in the shooting. Both were arrested on Thursday (June 10). Update: KJS/JFC 6-11-10
