Fatal Traffic Accident at 4300 North McCarty June 1, 2010 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 4300 North McCarty about 9:10 p.m. on Sunday (May 30). The male victim, 50, was transported to LBJ General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Arnold and Officer D. Brown reported: The victim was walking across the road to join a friend on the other side. While in the middle of the street, the victim was struck by a silver Jeep Liberty traveling north on North McCarty. The female driver of the Jeep, who did not send see the pedestrian, immediately stopped and called 911. No one else was injured.
