Investigation into Death at 9919 Hinds

July 26, 2010 - Houston police are investigating the death of a man at 9919 Hinds about 11:40 p.m. on Sunday (July 25).

The victim, Max Dozal, 20, of the above address, suffered an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Officer P. Vela and N. Wackman reported:

Mr. Dozal and his girlfriend had been arguing earlier in the evening.  They continued the argument in the driveway of their residence when Mr. Dozal then forced his girlfriend inside his car with himself.  He then reportedly produced a gun and shot himself in the chest.  Both the girlfriend and a family friend attempted to aid Mr. Dozal until emergency personnel arrived.
