Suspect Charged in Fatal Traffic Accident at 12500 Westheimer January 25, 2010 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in a fatal traffic accident in the 12500 block of Westheimer about 4:20 a.m. on Saturday (Jan. 23). The suspect, Hector Amador Moreno (H/m, DOB: 8-17-88), is charged with intoxication assault in the 182nd State District Court. The male victim, 60, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he later died. His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeants J. Calley and J. Law and Officer D. Schlichter reported: Moreno was driving a silver Ford Explorer westbound in the 12500 block of Westheimer when he ran a red light at the intersection of South Dairy Ashford and struck a black Toyota Camry, driven by the victim.
