Suspect Arrested in Death at 1325 Greens Parkway January 20, 2010 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the death of a man found at 1325 Greens Parkway about 3 p.m. on January 5. The suspect, Frederick Grant, (b/m, DOB: 2-17-92), is charged with murder in the 262nd State District Court. He is accused in the death of Edward James Matthews, 23 of the above address, who suffered multiple head injuries and was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition. Doctors pronounced him dead on Saturday (Jan. 16). HPD Homicide Division Officer W. P. Ferguson reported: Patrol officers responded to an assault call at 1325 Greens Parkway #50 and found Mr. Matthews unconscious and unresponsive. He was then taken to the hospital. Investigators developed information that identified Grant as the suspect in the case. Charges were filed and Grant was arrested on Tuesday (Jan. 19) without incident.
