Fatal Traffic Accident at 3000 State Highway Six South

January 04, 2010 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 3000 State Highway 6 South about 3:50 a.m. on Friday (Jan. 1).

The identities of the two male victims, 23 and 32 years of age, are pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant I. Izaguirre and Officer A. Hart reported:

A black Ford Crown Victoria was traveling northbound on State Highway 6 when it veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a gray Dodge Laramie traveling southbound on Highway 6. The Dodge was then struck by a white Lexus Gs30, also traveling south on Highway 6. The Ford then struck a black Cadillac Escalade traveling northbound on Highway 6. The drivers of the Ford and the Dodge were pronounced dead at the scene. Five passengers from the other involved vehicles were transported to area hospitals.

The investigation is continuing.
