Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Traffic Accident at 7500 Eastex Freeway
December 13, 2010 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in a fatal traffic accident at 7500 Eastex Freeway (U.S. Highway 59 North) about 10 p.m. on Saturday (Dec. 11).
The suspect, Oscar Javier Sanchez (H/m, DOB: 8-18-89), is charged with intoxication manslaughter in the 232nd State District Court for his role in the death of a 21-year-old female whose identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Sanchez was driving a white Ford Mustang at a high rate of speed on the Eastex Freeway when his vehicle struck a black Dodge Ram pickup truck and then a black Dodge Avenger. All three vehicles were traveling in the southbound lanes. The female victim, a passenger in the Dodge Ram, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of the Ram and the Avenger suffered serious injuries and were transported to an area hospital. The suspect was taken into custody at the scene.
