Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Stabbing at 6301 West Bellfort
August 23, 2010 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal stabbing of a man at 6301 West Bellfort about 11 p.m. on Saturday (Aug. 21).
Fredy Ramos Lagos (H/m, DOB: 10-20-77) is charged with murder in the 184th State District Court for his role in the killing of another man whose name is being withheld pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.M. De La Cruz and Senior Police Officer X. Avila reported:
Officers responded to a stabbing call at the apartment complex at the above address. Officers found the victim with apparent stab wounds. They learned from witnesses that Lagos and the victim were involved in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical fight when Lagos stabbed the victim. Houston Fire Department emergency personnel responded and transported the victim to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Lagos was taken into custody without incident.
