Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 7651 Gulfton
August 18, 2010 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 7651 Gulfton about 2:35 a.m. today.
The male victim, age 30, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Odom and Senior Police Officer L. Lovelace reported:
The victim was inside his apartment with an unknown suspect who shot him several times. The suspect then ransacked the victim's apartment and fled the scene in an unknown vehicle. The victim was found outside his apartment pleading for help before he was transported to the hospital.
The investigation is continuing.
