Fatal Shooting at 4404 Bellfort
August 16, 2010 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 4404 Bellfort about 10 p.m. on Saturday (August 14).
The male victim suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer S. Anderson and Officer R. Figueroa reported:
The victim was sitting in a car in an apartment complex parking lot. Witnesses reported seeing two unknown black males park a black truck one street south of Bellfort and walk towards the parking lot. Witnesses then reported hearing a single gunshot and observed the same two men walking south, between houses, back to their truck. They then fled east on Sterling towards Edgar Street. The victim was found by witnesses who then called for assistance.
The suspects are described only as two black males driving a black truck.
