Investigation Into Fatal Shooting at 16118 Bantam Ridge Court
August 9, 2010 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman and apparent suicide of a man at 16118 Bantam Ridge Court about 9:55 p.m. on Sunday (Aug. 8).
The female victim, Lisa Williams, 41, of the above address, suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the back and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where she was pronounced dead. The deceased male, Rykan Jones (b/m, DOB: 2-4-67), Williams' former husband, suffered an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Burton and Officer M. Khan reported:
Patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found Jones deceased inside the residence. Ms. Williams was found lying next to Jones and was still alive. She was then taken to the hospital where she later died. According to witnesses, Jones came to the residence and got into an argument with Williams. Jones then shot Williams several times and then shot himself.
The investigation is continuing.
