Suspect Arrested in Fatal Shooting at 5110 Werner

October 2 , 2009 - A suspect charged and wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 5110 Werner about 4 a.m. on Wednesday (Sept. 30) has been arrested.

Marlo D. Reason (b/m, DOB: 10-7-84) was arrested in the 900 block of Greens Road on Thursday (Oct. 1) without incident. Reason is charged with murder in the 184th State District Court. He is accused in the killing of Johnny Lee Gordon, 22, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Roberts, Senior Police Officer R. Moreno and Officer J. Harvey reported:

Reason arrived at Mr. Gordon’s home and began knocking on the doors and windows until Gordon came outside. The two men, who witnesses report had an ongoing feud, exchanged words and then Reason produced a gun and fatally shot Gordon. Reason then entered the home and attempted to shoot a second person, who managed to escape. Reason then fled the scene.
