Fatal Traffic Accident at 15357 Gulf Freeway November 9, 2009 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 15357 Gulf Freeway (Interstate Highway 45 South) about 7 p.m. on Friday (Nov. 6). The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending notification to next of kin by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant M.L. Stewart and Officer A.T. Sampson reported: The driver of a yellow Honda CDR600F motorcycle was traveling westbound on Dixie Farm Road as the driver of a silver Toyota Tundra pickup truck was turning northbound from Dixie Farm Road onto the Gulf Freeway service road. Both motorists had a yellow light. While making a left turn, the driver of the pickup truck failed to yield the right of way to the motorcyclist, causing the motorcycle to strike the Toyota’s passenger side door.
