Man Found Fatally Shot at 6920 Bellfort

March 23, 2009 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 6920 Bellfort about 7:45 a.m. today (Mar. 23).

The victim, Marquel Levy, 24, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers A.J. Palos and C.T. Hufstedler reported:

Patrol officers responded to a person down call at a convenience store and located Mr. Levy lying behind a dumpster next to the gas station.  He had suffered an apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced dead by paramedics.   

At this time, there are no known witnesses or suspects in the shooting.
