Investigation into the Shooting of Two Males at 10919 Fondren #1605

March 23, 2009 - Houston police are investigating the death of a male and the shooting of another male at 10919 Fondren #1605 about 7:45 p.m. on Friday (Mar. 20).

The victim, Markquese Dewayne Donahue, 18, of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.  A second male, 16, was also shot but is recovering.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. J. Blain and Officer E. H. Schmidt reported:

Three black males were attempting to break a hole in a fence in order to enter the Willows Apartment complex.  Donahue, who lived at the complex, told the males to stop and an argument ensued.  One of the suspects shot Donahue and the 16-year-old male.
