Fatal Traffic Accident at 9200 Humble Westfield

January 28, 2008 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 9200 Humble Westfield about 5 a.m. today (Jan. 28).

The identity of the deceased male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G.T. Hall and Officer S. Boone reported:

The victim was driving a Chevrolet pickup truck, leaving a private driveway when his vehicle was struck by a Ford pickup truck traveling west on Humble Westfield.

The Ford struck the victim’s truck on the driver’s side door, killing the victim and injuring his female passenger.  The female was transported to LBJ Hospital.  The driver of the Ford was not injured. 

The investigation is continuing, but it appears fault lies with the actions of the deceased victim.
