Fatal Auto-Pedestrian Accident at 1000 Edgebrook January 22, 2008 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 1000 block of Edgebrook about 6:40 p.m. on Wednesday (Jan. 21). The victim, Jose Lopez, 61, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition. He was pronounced dead early this morning (Jan. 22). HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. L. Gaines reported: Mr. Lopez ran across the roadway in the 1000 block of Edgebrook and was struck by a 1998 Ford Ranger pickup truck traveling westbound on Edgebrook. No charges have been filed against the female driver of the Ford at this time and the investigation is continuing.
