Suspect in Woman's Death at 1822 Barker Cypress Found Deceased January 12, 2008 - A suspect wanted and charged in the death of his common-law wife at 1822 Barker Cypress Road about 1:10 p.m. on Friday (Jan. 9) was found deceased in his residence on Sunday (Jan. 11). The suspect, Carlos Eduardo Rodriguez (H/m, DOB: 7-7-71), was found at 7950 Bellfort on Sunday morning. He had hanged himself inside his apartment. Rodriguez was charged with murder in the 262nd State District Court, accused in the killing of Rumalda Imelda Nino, 27, of Houston, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Autopsy results on both Rodriguez and Ms. Nino are pending. HPD Homicide Division Sergeants B. Harris, B. Evans and Senior Police Officers D. Shorten and T. Tyler reported: Patrol officers went to check on the well-being of Ms. Nino, after a family member was told by Rodriguez she was deceased, and found her in her bed.
