Suspect Arrested in Fatal Shooting at 11315 Fondren January 2, 2008 - Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in the fatal shooting of a man at 11315 Fondren about 1:45 a.m. on December 18. The suspect, Isidoro Valdez (H/m, DOB: 5-15-63), was arrested on Wednesday (Dec. 31) and charged with capital murder in the 174th State District Court. He is accused in the killing of Ebodio Bautista, 42, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. HPD Homicide Division Sergeants J.C. Padilla, M. Dillingham and Senior Police Officer C.P. Abbondandolo reported: Mr. Bautista was in front of his apartment, drinking with a group of friends. He left the group and went inside his apartment to sleep. About one hour later, the suspect kicked open the apartment front door and went inside. When Bautista emerged from his bedroom, he was shot several times. Further investigation developed Valdez as the shooter. On Wednesday, homicide investigators, with assistance from officers with the Crime Reduction Unit and the Fondren Patrol Division, arrested Valdez without incident in the 6400 block of West Bellfort.
