Investigation Into Male’s Death at 3910 Stoney Brook December 15, 2009 - Houston police are investigating the death of a man found at 3910 Stoney Brook about 6 p.m. on Monday (Dec. 14). The victim, Cesar Barrios Gomez, 41, of Houston, suffered a puncture wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. D. Chandler and Senior Police Officer L. K. Lovelace reported: Mr. Gomez was operating a crane for a small printing company at 3910 Stoney Brook. As Gomez tried to maneuver the crane to another location, the base of the crane failed and it fell over on to him. Several employees then tried to pull Gomez out from under the machinery, but he died at the scene. Further investigation determined the crane had a maximum capacity of one ton and that Gomez appeared to have loaded the crane several hundred pounds over its limit.
