Fatal Shooting at 12939 Whittington #604

December 14, 2009 - The fatal shooting of a home invasion suspect at 12939 Whittington #604 about 9:20 p.m. last Friday (Dec. 11) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.

The male, whose identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office, suffered gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Tolls and Officer J. Rodriguez reported:

An armed male forced his way inside an apartment with several persons inside. While the male pointed a pistol at two of the people inside, a third person inside retrieved a pistol of his own. Fearing for his safety and the safety of the others, he shot the male intruder several times.
