Fatal Accident at 4127 Beran

December 10, 2009 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 4127 Beran about 9 p.m. on Wednesday (Dec. 9).

The victim, Ana Cecilia Claros, 17, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where she was later pronounced dead from her injuries.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant K. Radley and Southwest Patrol Division Officer I. Mendoza reported:

The driver of a red Mazda was traveling eastbound on Beran when he was distracted by the victim, Ms. Claros, lying on his right shoulder and arm. The driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree. The driver, Claros, and two other passengers were transported to the Memorial Hermann Hospital.
