Suspects Charged in Connection to Fatal Shooting at 738 Lathrop August 26, 2009 - Charges have been filed against three suspects arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of another male suspect at 738 Lathrop about 5:45 a.m. on Sunday (Aug. 23). The three suspects, Lawrence Hall (b/m, DOB: 10-10-84), Cornelius Ambrose Bell (b/m, DOB: 8-18-83) and Donald Diago Harris (b/m, DOB: 2-20-87), are all charged with burglary of a building in the 180th State District Court. A male suspect suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending notification to family by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office HPD Homicide Division Sergeant D.A. Ferguson and Senior Police Officer D.R. Shorten reported: The suspects attempted to burglarize an Exxon gas station at the above address in an attempt to steal a bill payment machine inside the building. They broke a large glass window, at which time witnesses reported hearing gunshots and seeing suspects running in different directions down the I-10 East service road. The suspects then jumped a wooden fence on the north side of the gas station. One of the suspects was found lying in the parking lot of the Exxon station. He had been shot in the chest. It is unknown at this time who shot the suspect. The remaining suspects, who are still at-large, are described only as two to three black males in their late teens to early 20s, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall with slim to medium builds.
