Charges Filed in Male’s Death at 6700 Madden August 25, 2009 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the death of a man found in the 6700 block of Madden about 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday (Aug. 18). The suspect, Brandon Johnson Barfield (b/m, DOB: 6-3-84), is charged with murder in the 182nd State District Court. The male victim suffered a gunshot wound and multiple burns and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Blain and Officer E. Schmidt reported: The burned body of an unknown male was found at the above address near Mykawa Road. An investigation determined he had been shot at another location and then taken to 6700 Madden and set on fire. Further investigation and witness statements developed information that identified Barfield as the suspect in this case. On Thursday (Aug. 20), Barfield was arrested and admitted to his involvement in this incident.
