Investigation Into Infant’s Death at 7255 Corporate Drive #1508

August 21, 2009 - Houston police are investigating the death of an infant at 7255 Corporate Drive #1508 about 1 p.m. on Thursday (Aug. 20).

The baby boy, Arlendis Semaj Williams, one month old, was taken to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K.R. Tolls and Senior Police Officer M.F. Waters reported:

Baby Arlendis was sleeping in a bassinet in a bedroom of the above address when a 15-year-old family member found he was not breathing.  The teen immediately told his mother, who began CPR and then called for assistance. HFD paramedics arrived and transported the infant to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Harris County Medical Examiner’s office will conduct an investigation to determine the cause of death.
