Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 7200 Pinemont

April 28, 2009 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found in the 7200 block of Pinemont about 7:40 a.m. last Friday (Apr. 24). 

The victim, Otoniel Villarreal, 44, of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition.  Doctors pronounced him dead on Monday (Apr. 27). 

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers D.W. Arnold, T. Hufstedler and A. Palos reported: 

Mr. Villarreal was found seated in his vehicle, alive but unconscious with an apparent head wound.  Villarreal was taken to the hospital where it was later determined he had been shot. 

There is no known motive or suspect(s).
