Fatal Traffic Accident at Oak Forest and Overhill April 27, 2009 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at Oak Forest and Overhill about 1:20 p.m. on Saturday (Apr. 25). A male victim, 16, was pronounced dead at Ben Taub General Hospital. His identification is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Officer L. Morrison reported: A Nissan Xterra, with six occupants, was traveling eastbound on Overhill Drive and ran the stop sign at the intersection of Overhill and Oak Forest. The Nissan was struck by a Saturn Outlook traveling northbound on Oak Forest. After the impact the Saturn struck a house on the northeast corner of Overhill and Oak Forest and a Chevy Tahoe that was parked at the residence. All passengers of the Nissan sustained injuries. The driver and two passengers were taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital and two were transported to Spring Branch Hospital, the other passenger was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. No charges have been made at this time. The investigation is continuing. JKS/JC
