Fatal Traffic Accident at 3900 Lee

September 29, 2008 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 3900 block of Lee about 10:40 p.m. on Sunday (September 28).

The female victim, 41, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Chambers and Officer J Lin reported:

The driver of a white Chevrolet Suburban was traveling southbound on Hutton at a high rate of speed and did not stop at the intersection of Lee Street. The driver then turned east on Lee, lost control of the Suburban and struck the victim, who was standing in the driveway of her residence with her husband. The husband was also struck but suffered minor injuries. The driver of the Suburban did not stop and left the scene.
