Contact Information for Towed Vehicles

September 15, 2008 - Any citizen who abandoned his or her vehicle and had it towed from City of Houston streets following Hurricane Ike is urged to contact the Houston Police Department’s Tow Line at 713-308-8580 to determine what location the vehicle was towed to.

To get the information on your vehicle, you will need to provide at least one of the following:

· The license plate number
· The vehicle identification (VIN) number (which can be found on your title and registration documents)
· Your Texas driver’s license
· Any other identifying information about your car, such as the vehicle make, model and color, and the day and location from which your car was towed.

For those whose vehicles were abandoned and towed on Harris County roadways outside the city limits, you are urged to contact the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Message Center at 713-755-6042. You’ll need to provide a license plate or VIN number.
