The suspects are both described as black males. The first suspect is about 5 feet 10 inches tall, 30 to 40 years old, weighs about 200 to 220 pounds, and has a stocky build. He was wearing a gray shirt with dark pants, and was armed with a pistol. The second suspect is about 20 years of age and weighs about 180 pounds with a slim build. He was wearing an orange reflective vest (contractor's type) at the time of the robbery. Surveillance photos of the suspects and their vehicle, described only as a 1999 Chevrolet van. HPD Robbery Division Officer C. Richards reported: The suspects entered the Nacol & Company jewelry store at 5134 San Felipe about 11a.m. on June 30. The first suspect asked to view some watches. Moments later, the second suspect (wearing the orange vest) entered and approached the attendant behind the counter. The first suspect then immediately walked to a back office, produced a gun, and confronted the storeowner. The suspect assaulted the owner before he stole items from a safe located in the office. The second suspect then told the attendant to get on the ground as he stole jewelry from the display case. As the suspects fled the scene, the storeowner managed to fire one shot at the suspect’s van as it drove away. Investigators have interviewed persons of interest in this case, but have not filed any charges. Anyone with information regarding the identities of the suspects or the whereabouts of the van is urged to contact the HPD Westside Robbery Division at 281-584-4750 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
