Fatal Shooting at 5801 Sunforest

November 17, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5801 Sunforest about 5:10 p.m. on Friday (Nov. 14).

The identity of the victim is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants R. Chandler and J. Rubio reported:

Witnesses said the victim was walking in the common area of an apartment complex at 5801 Sunforest when he was shot several times by an unknown suspect. The victim managed to run a short distance and then collapse.

The suspect fled, possibly in a red colored vehicle.
