Man Fatally Shot at 3402 Dalmatian Drive

May 28, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 3402 Dalmatian Drive about 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday (May 27).

The victim, Shannon Lebar Johnson, 31, of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. J. Blain and Officer E. H. Schmidt reported:

Mr. Johnson was sitting on the front porch of a residence at 3402 Dalmatian Drive, when an unknown number of suspects drove by the residence and fired multiple shots. Johnson was struck and taken to a local hospital.

The suspects are described only as black males. They were seen leaving in a dark blue or black four-door vehicle with dark tinted windows.
