Investigation into Infant’s Death May 14, 2008 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results of a baby girl who died about 2:05 a.m. today (May 14) at an area hospital. The victim, identified as Asia Richardson, three months old, was pronounced dead at Texas Children’s Hospital after being transported from her residence at 1726 Beaverbend. There were no visible signs of injuries to her body. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Rubio and Officer B.D. Evans reported: Baby Asia’s mother stated she found her daughter in her crib and having difficulty breathing. The mother dialed 911 and requested medical assistance. Paramedics responded, performed CPR on the baby and transported her to the hospital where she died shortly after arrival. The investigation is continuing, pending the outcome of the autopsy results from the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. JFC/VHS |
