Suspect Charged in Murder at 910 Silber #A12 May 14, 2008 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the death of a man found at 910 Silber #A12 about 10:30 a.m. on Monday (May 12). The suspect, John David Johns (w/m, DOB: 7-2-70), is charged with murder in the 185th State District Court. He is accused in the killing of Sidney E. Goodman, 65, of Houston. Mr. Goodman suffered a laceration to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. HPD Homicide Division Sergeants J. T. Parker and T. Wyers reported: Officers were sent to Mr. Goodman’s apartment after co-workers discovered his body inside with severe injuries to his head. An investigation determined another resident of the complex killed Goodman during an argument over narcotics. Further investigation identified Johns as the suspect in this case. After giving a statement to investigators regarding the argument and the murder, Johns was arrested a short time later at his residence. VHS/JFC |
