Man Shot at 4700 South Kirkwood May 06, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man in the 4700 block of South Kirkwood about 10:15 p.m. on Monday (May 5). The victim, Jose Victorino Medrano Benitez, 32, suffered multiple gunshot wounds to both arms and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he underwent surgery and is in stable condition. HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Dillingham and O. Chandler reported: Officers responded to a shooting call at the Coral Islands Apartments and found Mr. Benitez had been shot several times. The suspects are described only as three Hispanic females and four Hispanic males, all between 14 to 18 years of age. They were last seen in a gray, two-door Toyota Celica.
