Composite Sketch in Fatal Shooting at 6751 Bellaire Gardens June 10, 2008 - Houston police homicide investigators have released a composite sketch of a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of one woman and wounding of another at 6751 Bellaire Gardens about 1:20 a.m. on Sunday (June 8). The suspect is described as a black male, in his 30s, about 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. He was wearing a dark blue T-shirt and a blue baseball cap and possibly used an older model, maroon, American-made minivan as a getaway vehicle. A composite sketch of the wanted suspect is attached to this news release. The victim, Huong Thien Nguyen, 34, of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s sister, My Houng Nguyen, 34, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital with a gunshot wound and is in critical condition. HPD Homicide Division Sergeants J. H. Roberts and W. M. Bush and Senior Police Officers E. R. Godwin and R. Cervantes reported: Ms. Huong Nguyen and her sister returned home from a family outing when they were approached by a male suspect in the driveway of their home. The suspect made some type of demand of both women, shot them, and then fled the scene.
